Elastic IP addresses are static IP addresses designed for dynamic cloud computing. An Elastic IP address is associated with your account, not a particular instance..." This is really big deal; it'll make hosting sites solely on AWS much easier.

Run Django's tests on multiple cores for better performance. I suspect much of testing is io-bound, but this is still a nifty trick.
