hgbook: Collaboration models

Bookmarked May 30th, 2007 at 11:06 p.m.

A good writeup of different patterns of using distributed VCS. I'm especially interested in the description of the Linux workflow; the fact that it works so well is almost completly counterintuitive.

Sun OpenID Non-Assertion Covenant

Bookmarked May 22nd, 2007 at 11:38 a.m.

More companies need to start doing this. Software patents *can* work, but the patent office allows them to be too powerful. Smart companies like Sun are routing around the damage and allowing communities to make use of important technology.

It's early summer in the Midwest, which means it's time to start the annual hunt for ways of keeping away the #$%ing bugs. Bat houses sound like the most eco-friendly solution.

Greg Mullane's complete talk on optimizing postgresql. Looks like a few things have changed since 2003 (7.3 --> 8.2), but this still seems *very* relevant.
