Not sure about the quality of the benchmarks, but I'd nevertheless still like to see how Django stacks up here. Not very well I'd imagine, but Django's always been an 80% ORM anyway, so 80% of the performance would be just *fine* with me.

Really interesting analysis of a cracked Linux box. We're lucky that these script kiddies always seem to make some stupid mistakes (in this case not cleaning up .bash_history); a good cracker probably wouldn't be detected for months.

Marty Alchin's amazingly cool "audit trail" for Django models. Essentially creates *Audit models that track all changes to the underlying model. Unbelievably slick; this should make the start of a *very* nice third-party app.

Holy $DEITY, the the state of E-Voting coulnd't be more broken. Diebold "still uses at least two hard-coded passwords — one is 'diebold' and another is the eight-byte sequence 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8." Similarly, Diebold in 2003 ridiculed (p. 6)

Looks like a nice basis to write an unofficial Gmail client against. The article says that POST is required, but in my playing around it seems that only GET works.
